For healthcare professionals

When using secure fax, include the referral order and the information needed to evaluate clinical fit, payer requirements, requested services, provider information, and anticipated start-of-care timing.

NextGen reviews service area, staffing, clinical needs, documentation, and payer requirements before confirming acceptance.

For patients and families

You may call us directly even if you do not yet have a formal referral. A Care Advisor can explain services and help coordinate with your physician or healthcare provider when an order is required.

What happens after a referral?

  1. NextGen reviews the requested service, location, clinical needs, documentation, payer requirements, and staffing availability.
  2. Our team contacts the referral source, patient, or authorized representative if information is missing.
  3. If accepted, the agency coordinates orders, benefits verification when applicable, and start-of-care planning.
